Australian Shepherds are known to be intelligent, hardworking, and versatile. Originally bred in the western United States, these dogs were used to herd livestock. To this day, they remain working dogs at heart. Aussies are happiest when they have something to keep them occupied- whether that be agility, training, playing, or even chores. They are eager to please and are said to have a sixth-sense about what their owner wants. Aussies are friendly and excited, staying puppy-like well into their adult years.
