With charateristics from both the Blue Heeler and the Australian Shepherd, this breed is energetic and intelligent with natural herding instincts. They are affectionate to those they know and love, but a little wary of strangers. As with their parent breeds, the Texas Heeler’s headstrong nature and keen intelligence makes them eager to learn.

Wind Over Hill Puppies is a respected breeder Blue Heelers and Texas Heelers (a popular cross of the Australian Shepherd and Blue Heeler). All of these breeds make wonderful working dogs, but they are also playful, intelligent, and snuggly. Our puppies are bred on a farm, and our dogs openly roam and play outdoors all day long.
